Europa, or Jupiter II, is the smallest of the four Galilean moons orbiting Jupiter, and the sixth-closest to the planet of all the 79 known moons of Jupiter. It is also the sixth-largest moon in the Solar System. Europa was discovered by Galileo Galilei in 1610.

Europa's surface is mostly water ice. Scientists believe that under Europa's 10-15 miles (15-25 kilometers) ice shell could be an ocean that is 40-100 miles (60-150 kilometers) deep. Despite the fact that Europa is only one-fourth the diameter of Earth, its ocean may contain twice as much water as all of Earth’s oceans combined.

Planeths collection image

The Planeths collection is dedicated to all space fans 🌌🌠

My fascination with space started when I was five years old. My grandpa used to wake me up in the night just to show me the stars and constellations in the night-sky. These are my best childhood memories. Later on, I got into reading books about space as well as playing games like Nintendo's Galaga and StarCraft. Now as a grown-up, I continue carrying this love for space with me.

Every planeth is a piece of my heart - a heart that loves these mysterious, endlessly captivating celestial objects.
