I spent the first 30 minutes or so photographing pelicans until a pair of American Bald Eagles flew over me and landed on an island just across the water from where I was. I spent the next hour or so focusing on the perched Eagles waiting for one of them to take off. After lots of time and patience, one of the bald eagles flew in my direction and gave me a quick glance. Photographing via kayak is very challenging and this was one of the few times I have attempted photography on the water.
