Our emotions are triggered by what we see on the outside. The world has a way of making us follow certain patterns and we unknowingly key into them as we continue living. I have chosen a pattern, one that captures my in-depth desire and cause for living.
This body of work captures the day-to-day life of people within their spaces. It's a collection of images that describes my journey of SELF-DISCOVERY and GROWTH as a SMARTPHONE PHOTOGRAPHER; as 95% of this collection were shot with my smartphone. Each one of them embodying a piece of me and is tied to a memory.
It's colourful, seeking to portray the beauty of Nigeria and change the misconceptions that Nigeria is a poor and suffering nation.
It also aims to encourage other creatives to create with what they have because I'm a strong believer that "THE GREATEST TOOL A CREATIVE POSSESSES IS HIS MIND AND NOT HIS GEARS."
