In optics, a caustic is the result of light rays reflected or refracted by a curved surface or the projection of rays on another surface. Internal refractions result in beautiful colour gradients.

This piece is part of a series focusing on caustic refractions. The geometry was modelled in Cinema 4D and rendered with Redshift.
