'A Quiet Escape' was born from the pain of wanting to disconnect from the world that reminded me of what I had lost. I took this photo during one of the lowest moments in my life back in 2017. It felt like I had lost every chance of ever finding love again and this was it for me. I knew what had happened was my choice and I was finally out of a toxic relationship but it still hurt so much thinking this was it. There’s no better escape than to be camping in the middle of wilderness with no reception.

Blue thou art, intensely blue; Flower, whence came thy dazzling hue? -James Montgomery
As someone who tends to edit with cooler tones; over the last few years I've been working on a collection of exclusive photos with “blue” as the dominant hue. Blue is often associated with sadness and melancholy. But for me it represents peace and serenity. This inspired the name for my collection. Blues, but the good kind.
