A 1947 white wine made from 100% Traminac (Gewürztraminer) grapes from the Dalmatian Coast wine region of Croatia. This wine became legendary due to the Royal Family delegates hand selecting this vintage for Queen Elizabeth the II's coronation celebration. Many speculate that this vintage was selected due to its tie to the year that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philipe married. With only 89 bottles surviving the war occupation due to some clever hiding places, this wine is incredibly rare and only a small group of people have had the chance to taste this beautiful vintage. This wine is made from grapes that are hand selected at harvest and results in powerfully aromatic and complex wines with aromas of rose, lychee, apricot and passion fruit. Flavours from extended age come through on the palate with honey, candied orange peels and walnuts rounding out the flavour profile.
