Created in 2005 originally in analogue format then converted to digital in 2020. What you are seeing is Ink and enamel paint reacting together in a small perti dish. The footage is raw, no filters and in real time. These videos are paintings of its most pure, most abstract self. Named EMBRYO for the embryonic like nature and seemingly alive pulsating movement of the chemical reaction. The name also suggests being my very first ever piece of this nature, I am still in the embryonic stages of my art career.
My videos explore paint and the way that these chemicals and substances mimic nature on micro, macro and mega scales. These universal properties of liquids and their interactions/reactions to each other is I believe, of divine design. The footage is raw, no filters and in real time. These videos are paintings of its most pure, most abstract self.
