Grand Admiral Thrawn obtained Mandalorian Armor in the Star Wars Legends short story, SIDE TRIP by Timothy Zahn and Michael Stackpole. The Mandalorian Armor is from a reviled character, Jodo Kast. Jodo Kast pretended to be better than Boba Fett until Boba killed him. But the timeline is all screwy. Thrawn obtained the armor before Jodo was killed. So, SWAG77 asked Michael Stackpole if he remembered the 20+ year story about how Thrawn obtained the armor, and this is what he said. What this author says is of no bearing to what really happened.
