Today I bring you a tale of the Kitsune: many foxes traveled to the amazing city of Osaka, for Devcon 5 and also ventured to the Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto, which is guarded by sacred foxes.

While in Japan, they were all greeted with a typhoon and ShapeShift hosted a DeFi panel event that Jon spoke at including many early DeFi pioneers like Maker, AAVE, and kyber and was moderated by Camilla Russo.

For those who were able to visit Fushimi, kitsune (fox) were in full force guarding the shrine. I later found out that foxes are messengers of the harvest god of rice (Inari), tea and sake, bringing bounty to the country. This temple was founded in the year 711 and is one of Japan’s oldest landmarks.

There was a magic here just like Kitsune in Japan and will be forever a beautiful memory in the ShapeShift lineage.
