She is not just a figure for games, but a real amulet and mascot. Ukrainians believed that the doll contained the spirit of the family, which protects family members from evil, passes on age-old wisdom and knowledge to future generations. The works explore the images of Ukrainian authenticity, not only its visible side, but also deep, hidden from the view of modern man, cultural roots.

"Roots" - Ancient Ukrainian images, spirits and symbols that form the basis of the Ukrainian national code. Spiritual roots that sprout from history, traditions and beliefs of Ukrainians for many centuries and now continues to inspire descendants to create music, literature and art.

About the artist: Maria Krutogolova (KRUTO) - Ukrainian artist. Was born in Kryvyi Rih. Maria graduated from the National Taras Shevchenko Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, faculty of "Scenography of Theater and Cinema". Participant of the festivals GOGOLFEST, ARTPOLE, Trypillya Circle, etc. Set designer of more than 20 theatrical performances in various theaters of Ukraine. Participant of personal and collective exhibitions.

The «Namysto» collection consist of many original NFT beads created by hundreds of Ukrainian artists of all ages. This project is created to support Ukrainian artists and army during the Russia’s full-scale military invasion of Ukraine.

Namysto - a traditional Ukrainian decoration of pearls, corals, stones, etc., worn around the neck. Namysto are one of the oldest jewelry known since the Paleolithic. Now they are worn mainly by women, but historically they have been used as jewelry by men. The Namysto necklace can also be named after the material - "corals", "beads", "beads". One element of the Namysto necklace (pearl, stone, etc.) is called a «Namystyna» (rarely a bead).
