Title: Rainbow on Portovenere
Location: Italy, 5 terre
Edition: 1/1
Info: After the fall of Napoleon, in 1815 like the whole of Liguria, Porto Venere became part of the Kingdom of Sardinia, in the province of Levante, and later, with the national unification, of the Kingdom of Italy from 1861. From 1859 to 1927 the territory was included in the I Mandamento di Spezia of the district of Levante that was part of the Province of Genoa first and, with its establishment in 1923, the Province of La Spezia then.
Popular holiday resort and destination of artists and writers of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century (among its most famous visitors was Lord Byron) Porto Venere is still a top tourist destination in the panorama of La Spezia and Liguria.
In 1998 Porto Venere was declared a World Heritage Site, well protected by UNESCO - together with the Rolli of Genoa and its historic center (the only other two assets included for Liguria) - and since 2001 is home to the regional natural park of the same name.

"Le Cinque Terre" is not simply my first collection. It is the representation of my life and MY LAND, where I am currently living and where I grew up. This land, whose small villages are so iconic, has a deep and ancient story behind it : the rocks have been shaped for millennia by the relentless force of the sea. I've captured the most unique and fantastic weather conditions that you would ever see. Snow, thunderstorms, sea storms, mist. This collection is shot in the national park of “Cinque Terre” (Liguria), near the famous small village Portofino. It is the result of 3 years of hard work, research, many hours spent scouting new point of view, almost 1000 photos taken in order to select the perfect ones, several days waiting for the perfect weather conditions and countless sunrises. All this effort was put to be able to create something out of the ordinary. Come to enjoy my collection and let me take you through this small but astonishing national park : “Cinque Terre”.
