Chance to get your hands on a piece of History!

I have brought back to life Louis Daguerre from a 1844 original photo, taken by Jean-Baptiste Sabatier-Blot, using Daguerreotype.

Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre (18 November 1787 – 10 July 1851), better known as Louis Daguerre, was a French artist and photographer, recognized for his invention of the daguerreotype process of photography. He became known as one of the fathers of photography.

In 1838, Daguerre used his invention to capture what is thought to be the first photograph of a human being: a man having his shoes shined on Paris’ Boulevard du Temple.

When the Eiffel Tower was built in the late 1880s, Daguerre’s name was inscribed on its base next to those of 71 other influential French scientists and inventors.
