This is my response to "the banana on the wall" artwork. Here Cultural Authenticity is emphasized over Cultural Imperialism.

Whereas Banana represents globalization, cultural imperialism, and magnates, Aubergine represents locality, local culture, and ordinary people. Plaster detail represents the pandemic. Attaching the falling aubergine to the wall with a plaster represents that the pandemic strongly reminds the states of how important local food production.
