The Word is part of the AGGA Collection, Series N2, which was inspired by Matthew 12:22-37. Jesus spoke The Word and healed a blind and mute man. All the people were astonished and said, “Could this be the Son of David?" But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons.” Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand…if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you." The design work shown in this painting is of a blind man being healed and the infirmity in his body is leaving, represented as the blue and green shapes, and Christ is represented as the "Son" speaking forth The Word for all man-kind to see.
