From the Maya Yaxchilán means green stones and in the Mexican southeast we can find a pre-Hispanic city with this name, there near the town of Ocosingo, Chiapas, Mexico. One design was inspired by a figurative-idealistic design representing the tiger, Yaxchilán is not the original name of the piece, it only refers to the place where it was found. We see a seated tiger depicting spiritual mysticism. We know that pre-Columbian cultures, part of their deities were animals, they represented fortresses and distinguished their men by referring to what they represented. My design maintains the essence of the colors that were used, the features and their composition, and in the detail and stroke style we see applied geometry and abstraction in small degrees, as well as those ornate details changed to simple geometric figures.
