Constructing Boundaries is a track about just that. At a point in my life when work was becoming overwhealmingly pressurising I found it almost impossible to turn off. Every waking become consumed by the ongoing ideas and ambitions. I was working at the music charity Key Changes focussing on production, running EVO at the Four Quarters in Peckham and creating my own music at the same time as drinking heavily and frequently to liberate my mind from stress. I was very much loosing touch with one side of myself whilst only just begining to fully understand the other side. At this point I had also started to get into creating Reaktor ensemble instruments and was using them to shape my sound in whole new ways. I used to take versions of this track and play it at my event to see how the it would run on the crowd. The air was dank and moist in that bassment and the sound system was loud and heavy. The feeling in the room was often dark and relentless as well as joyous, a place to party for people who party too much.
