Part of my series called Dimensional Transitions. The overall concept puts the canvas (fabric and garment) in the center of attention. The role of the canvas as an object of artistic technology shifts to a subject in the composition and theme of the painting. I have noticed that this interesting transformation from object to subject has been repeated tendentiously in art over the centuries. From the painting of ancient Egypt, through Hellenic sculptures, European schools to the present day, cloth, clothing and canvas often occupy an important part of the artist's attention.
In my works I build on the idea of this transition through embossed applications of fabric in a mixed technique with traditional paints. In this context, the canvas acquires a symbolic meaning and plays a major role in the picture. I decided to upgrade the idea of spatial transition, through NFT "cutting" of each of the works in the series (so far 2 of the paintings are NFT), but also by adding animated movement in the picture, to enhance the feeling of transition to the digital dimension. To the animation (gif format) of the first of the works (transition 0) is added a virtual reality (augmented reality) through the application Artivive, where the animation can be observed on the physical picture.
