This is one of my favorite photographs, and it means a great deal to me. I have a strong affinity for Asia, and Bangkok, in particular, holds a special place in my heart. It's where I bought my first camera in 2016, and where I began the 6-month journey that launched my photography career in 2018. I graduated from business school in 2017, decided to leave my marketing job, and purchased a one-way ticket to Asia at the start of 2018. Bangkok was the first place I landed on my own, with no real plans. . This was where it all began for me. However, this photograph was taken in January 2020, during my fifth visit there. This location had been on my list for a long time, and it was only during this visit that I was able to visit it. This location was not as well-known at the time as it is now. I'd only seen a few photos of it and knew I had to capture it in a unique way. Only sunrise would work if I wanted to capture this light, so I took a one-hour cab ride across town to get there in time. . Everything just fell into place when I arrived. The light, the haze, the atmosphere. Aside from the shot, it was an incredible experience to be in the temple, hearing the locals pray and welcoming the new day. . 1/40 edition. . Dimensions: 10344 × 5812
