We can see a definite similarity of technique in this abalone’s footing style to that of Shi Jue Ming/Concha Haliotidis1, and yet there are many differences in footprinting that remain on the shell due to different life experiences and personality eccentricities and variations between the two.
Our objectification of the creatures of the world leads us to discard and dismiss how unique each being really is. My hope is that in taking moments such as these to wipe away our omnimask of objectification and simply recognize these kinds of subtleties in our co-inhabitant citizens of Earth, we can begin to engender a field of respect for all creatures and in so doing begin to redignify our own lives.
