This is the first of my 'Rebus' series. A rebus is a riddle depicted in symbols or pictures. 'Puttin' on the Ritz' is a song written in May 1927 by Irving Berlin. Originally sung by Harry Richman in the film of the same name (1930), it was also released in 1946 by Fred Astaire (the movie, Blue Skies) and there have been a number of subsequent versions. Using Vladimir Putin in my artwork is my way of giving a nod to the flamboyant side of his nature.
