There was a strong pitching in the ocean, F. Konyukhov wanted to paint. There were canvases and the working table on the yacht. The picture is particularly valuable as it was drawn during the solo yacht circumnavigation on an 85-foot maxi-yacht "Scarlet Sails Trading Network" in 2004-2005. There are ocean coordinates from the location of the sketch depicted in the painting. Picture illustrates the artist’s state during the painting process. It was the first solo circumnavigation in world's sailing history on a Maxi-class yacht via the Cape Horn. Cape Horn is the yachtsmen's pole. Konyukhov visited it three times: in 1990-1991, 2004-2005 and 2007-2008. The journey across the Indian Ocean turned out to be a real challenge for the traveler. Konyukhov was caught in a severe five-day storm there. Then, off the coast of Australia, he had to make an emergency stop because of the devices’ breakage. According to F. Konyukhov himself, he owes the successful conclusion of his voyage to God. Oil on canvas, the 6th of April 2005. 21,65x29,5276 inch
