"There's Space" is a collab between Max Gaertner and photographer Phil Kuehlthau. During the Covid-19 pandemic Max travelled around to record the silence inside former concert locations that were not able to host any events anymore. In every recording the silence randomly gets broken by one experimental sound that Max produced on a snare drum. The NFT audio is a binaural 360° audio installation that can be heard with either headphones or several loudspeakers.

The picture by Phil Kuehlthau was taken at the Barbican Centre in London right after BREXIT has been announced. The stifling emptiness of the picture in combination with the silence audio installation come together to a unique digital artwork of contemporary music and photography so be a symbol of the unprecedented cultural crash that Covid-19 brought to the world in 2020/21.
