The Saab Network (https://www.saabnet.com) was created on the Internet as a mailing list for Saab owners in 1988 as a more suitable tool for owners to discuss their cars rather than USENET's limited rec.autos newsgroup. In the first year, there were about 100 owners on the mailing list. Later, in the 1990's, it became a website with over a million Saab users. This NFT is the original logo for the website and features the first domain name, Warp.org, before the site moved to Saabnet.com. The site was connected to the Internet utilizing an 18 mile wireless connection between Los Altos CA and the top of the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose CA (hence the lightning bolts in the logo). The Saab featured in the logo was based on a black 1983 Saab 900 Turbo with Shelby Ronal rims and rear Saab louver.
