Caption
Graduating from Sunderland University in 1986 my parents are two members of the Class of ’86. Inspired by my parents’ collections of photographs from their university years, this project is a characterisation of my parents, their university friends I know today and students from their courses whom I have never known but have seen pictured and heard described. I chose to create a range of portraits depicting these people, playing heavily on stereotypical imagery commonly portrayed in Western television and cinema, and I hope that viewers will recognise some of the people in their own lives and from their experiences.
Welcome to Edition365: a portrait of the year that changed everything
The latest collection from ART3 and British Journal of Photography, in collaboration with OpenSea and New Art City, Edition365 is an immersive virtual exhibition and historic NFT collection.
Bid for the keys to the exhibition itself, to personalise & host it in your corner of the metaverse; Own a piece of history from the remaining pieces for 0.365 ETH.
Each of the 365 pieces were created during the first 365 days of the pandemic, by a vast & dynamic array of creators from all over the world. Traversing tales of love, loss, hope, and solidarity, the exhibition is a once-in-a-century time-capsule, conceived to stand as a historical reference for decades to come.
