This work is a scanned copy of a old document I own that is inscribed with the year 1773, and a white hawk that I painted myself. The old document seems to have been handed down in my father's house, and it has deteriorated considerably, so I wanted to present it as an NFT + my artwork before it decays. This seemed to be a textbook on how to calculate money in 1773 year(Edo period), and I thought it would be interesting to publish it now compared to the current situation where NFT is becoming more and more active, which is one of the points of my creation. It is also exciting to see my white hawk fly through time to the year 1773, and I am deeply impressed by the fact that we are living in the present while feeling the history of the past around us.
And about the painting of the white hawk. Originally, my father's ancestors were Samurai and worked as a painter too, so there were pictures painted in various places in the house. One of the paintings was of a white hawk on the back of a dark barn door. As a painter, I wanted to inherit this beautiful hand-painted picture of a white hawk, so I reproduced it in this work.
