‘High Fidelity’ began as a painting in oils, wax, acrylics and resin on aluminium, before being brought alive digitally. In this nostalgic homage to a more physical form of music, melted neon 80s colours flicker and switch whenever the tape wheels spin. By incorporating digital tools into this artwork, I capture on another level the euphoria of playing my favourite cassette, whilst further evoking memories of the satisfying click and whir sounds of analog technology.
