This painting entitled The Sampling Officials is a painting made by Rembrandt in 1662. This painting was ordered by the Syndics of the Drapers' Guild Amsterdam which was then placed in the Guild Hall. In the painting, the top brass of the cloth merchants' union (in a sitting position) are checking the quality of a Persian cloth sold by a weaver, who is also a member of the guild to them. Rembrandt in this painting depicts several officials of the cloth merchants' union. In this painting there are several officials of the Amsterdam cloth merchants' union (except for the person in the back who is not hating, he is not an official but a servant). Some of the figures in this painting from left to right are: Jacob van Loon (1595–1674), Volckert Jansz (1605 or 1610–1681), Willem van Doeyenburg (ca. 1616–1687), Frans Hendricksz Bel (1629–1701), Aernout van der Mye (ca.1625–1681), Jochem de Neve (1629–1681). This painting is considered one of the treasures of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam.
