A lady of Chinese descent sends an open letter as a a reminder to her fellow Chinese ladies who are still evasive and unaware about the importance of education for their daughters. According to her, for a long time, Chinese women have not had any other skills than the skills to be a housewife. All her life, she is taught that women have softer brains and therefore are slow-witted than men. Due to these disadvantageous preconceptions, there is an imbalance between women and men who are versatile. In order to balance it, women must start learning various things, not only embroidery and sewing, but also correspondence, Khe/Tjin Im language, etiquettes, and so on.
