The first $10 bill produced by the Federal Reserve Bank in 1914 was printed on hemp fiber. The certificate was convertible for gold in any Federal Reserve Bank across the United States.

The Gold Standard ended in 1971 under the Nixon Administration, the same year of the beginning of the War On Drugs. This ended hemp production which wouldn’t be relegalised again until 2018 with the Hemp Farming Act.

This piece is made using green markers on hemp paper sourced from Germany.

The paper is 60% hemp and 40% cotton.

You get the physical piece framed. This is a 1/1 NFT representing authenticity of provenance for the piece which was produced as part of the Casa das Drogas exhibition in Av. da Liberdade, Lisboa in Spring 2021.

All money raised from sales will be used for furthering drug education campaigns.
