Autumn in Biei, Hokkaido. It is the season when snow begins to fall in the mountains. In the harvested bean fields, the process of drying the harvested branches has begun. This method of drying, which looks like a camping tent, has become very rare in recent years.
The contrast of the cloud shadows falling on the fields is striking.
This was the view I encountered when I lived and photographed in Hokkaido for three years.
This work was published in One Eyeland's OFFICIAL SELECTION.
The genre of the photographs is fine art-like, featuring landscapes and nature. However, I try to capture what actually exists there, rather than composite images of imaginary things that do not exist in reality. I am conscious of adding my own mental images to the world I encounter, and I create my works as if I were painting a picture. It is also a record of my encounters with landscapes and the world, expressed in light and color. Although I still have a ways to go, I will continue to create artwork in the hope that it will reach someone.
20年ほど前には絵を勉強しており、その後に筆をカメラに持ち替え、心象を反映した光と色で風景や世界との出会いの記録を描いています。
