The nuclear power plant complex at Chernobyl was planned to be expanded by building a 5th reactor. The construction of its infrastructure was on its way when the incident at reactor number four happen. The evacuation procedures that followed in the aftermath of it lead to the abandonment of the project. The building of the 5th reactor would then never be finished and would forever remain as a fossilized memory of the devastation that nuclear power can cause.
