"Thot" is the first work from Simpler Times IV to be published on the blockchain. It is also my first NFT created while actively being a part of the nifty community. "Thot" sets the tone for this latest round of Simpler Times, inspired by cryptocurrency the work draws on themes of connection, transparency and decentralization. Staying true to the series the work focuses on an abstracted 3D scan of Auguste Rodin's iconic sculpture "The Thinker" condensing it down to is raw polygonal form. The figure provides the perfect subject for capturing the mood of the digital art community as we all sit and wonder where the NFT movement will go next.
