A crow flies overhead carrying in its beak a burning stick, a kangaroo molten by fire is suspended mid jump while a charred forest smoulders atop its back.

An Aboriginal story tells the tale of seven women called the Kanatgurk, who once possessed fire, they carried it on the end of their digging sticks, but would not share it . Waa, the white Crow, tasted one of their cooked yams and set about to steal the fire. He tricked the women by placing snakes in a hollow log. Knowing the women had a taste for honey ants, he told them the log was filled with them, as they broke the log they were attacked by the snakes. The women fought them off with their sticks and the burning tops broke off. Waa scooped up the embers and flew away. The women called out at Waa, calling him a thief. The commotion was overheard by Bujil, the eagle. Bunjil told his nephews to chase after Waa and return the sticks. Waa flew so fast that the sticks caught fire and he dropped them, causing a bushfire that burnt the white crows feathers black and threatened to consume the entire land.

This artwork is part of Cryptovoxels charity auction, all proceeds go to cryptofalliance to help those fighting against Australia's bushfires.
