Wherecrow is an artwork created using Artificial Intelligence combined with human creativity as part of my long-running AI-Brushes project (Read more at www.nurecas.com/ai-brushes ) . This is one of the finest pieces that I have created in the brushes project and was exhibited at the We.Work AI Summit in San Francisco, USA on end of Jan 2020 (Read more here : https://blog.re-work.co/could-ai-be-the-future-of-art/ ) . This work was created using a technique where physical painting in patches is translated to real-life creation using Augmented Reality (See the technique in my viral video with 95,000+ views: https://twitter.com/fabinrasheed/status/1191255610479669248?s=20 ). Using some of the cutting edge machine-learning algorithms like Gaugan by Nvidia, this project was an attempt at my exploration into using AI in combination with human creativity. The concept of Wherecrow is based on how an artist, in the realm of being, stands lost in his/her creation. With an imagination as sweet as an apple from which the audience can take a bite from, the artist offers to open his/her creativity to the world. And yet, standing like a scarecrow who doesn't know where he/she is, the audience fears if approaching the artist for a dip in the sweet creativity would in fact harm them. The image represents a possibility of attraction and yet the fear of what would happen if indulged.
