A.I can help find planets with life and make sure that the planet is not being colonized by a human colony. In the future, there may be A.I travelling in space, taking one picture at a time for the blockchain as time moves. A researcher from the “Machine Intelligence Laboratory” at Oxford University have taught an AI to identify galaxies and planets by looking for patterns in data collected through NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) mission. To improve exploration, understanding, and settlement of these environments, the team created an algorithm that can produce a high-resolution 3D map with only one image taken from one point. This technology can be used to explore new planets for their resources and habitability. The team was able to create this algorithm because they were given access to open-source data from NASA’s Cassini mission to Saturn as well as SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket launches.
