Rohingyatographer is a collective of Rohingya photographers using their cameras to document the lives of the Rohingya community. The collective was founded in 2022 by Sahat Zia Hero a Rohingya who fled Myanmar after the military crackdown in 2017. Since then, Rohingyatographer has published two issues and exhibited its work in several international events including the Liberation War Museum in Dhaka, Head on Photo Festival in Sydney and the Leipzig Photobook Festival in Germany. Since it launch, Rohingyatographer has been featured widely in the International media: The Guardian, AlJazeera, NBC among many others. Rohingyatographer Magazine has become an essential publication for anyone interested in the Rohingya experience, community-led photography, visual anthropology, human rights, and refugee studies.
