PixelArcade

64x 1/1 paintings derived from arcade history.

Eight colours per painting, sampled from the actual on-screen palette of a single canonical game. Arranged into a fixed grid via simulated annealing.

Each work rendered with the CRT phosphor and scanline character of the medium it was made for.

Mint: https://pixelarcade.art/mint

Three eras: 8-bit (1976–1983), 16-bit (1985–1995), 32-bit (1995–1999).

Each work names its source: Pitfall, Asteroids, Pac-Man, Zelda, Sonic, Metal Gear Solid, StarCraft and more.

Four works are designated wildpixels. Their palettes aren't fixed at mint... the collector chooses the eight colours from any image, completing the work on-chain.

The Physical Paintings

Each NFT exists as a 1/1 painting...hand-mixed acrylic on plywood, 150mm square. Signed and numbered on the back.

Mounting hardware and NFC connected blockchain authenticity included.

Ships worldwide.
