Every Inkwell begins its journey with $AETHER inside, but the supply does not last forever. Over time, the vessel must be refilled if it is to continue existing.
$AETHER and Inkwells are not separate parts of the collection. They are one system. The vessel needs the $AETHER. The $AETHER needs a vessel.
An empty Inkwell is more than an empty NFT.
When its $AETHER is exhausted, the vessel begins to disappear. Those who continue to refill their Inkwells preserve them. Those who abandon them risk losing them permanently.
There are 4,444 Inkwells at Genesis. There may never be 4,444 again.
