FAKE by Masaki

NFT is "digital data with a certificate of authenticity and ownership that cannot be falsified. However, many NFT marketplaces are flooded with fake NFTs.

What certificate does this fake NFT really have on it? Does it prove that it is a fake? Or is it just an ornament to make it look real?

The same thing is happening to real works of art. The alleged forgery of da Vinci's last work, "Salvator Mundi," which was sold for approximately 51 billion yen. Was it a conspiracy by profit beneficiaries? Numerous other fakes are said to be circulating in the art industry as the genuine article. This may prove that even fakes can be as valuable as the real thing if a certificate of authenticity exists.

Isn't the value of art today just an illusory value that the profit beneficiaries have just given a certificate (a certificate of authenticity or an endorsement by an authority)?

This time, "FAKE" is an attempt to attach a certificate to a fake work and give it an illusory value.
