It's true that Elsewhere began life as a community "metaverse" for communities in the NFT and crypto world.


Though we remain believers in the long-term potential of those technologies, we came to realize that the values of those communities just didn't align with our own, or what we're trying to build.

As of 2023, we have no plans to further utilize crypto or NFTs in any of our games. If we ever revisit that decision, it will because we found a way to do it in an environmentally-responsible and ethical way.
