Camel Post

Camel Post was a mail delivery company born in 1823 to connect all the people scattered throughout the desert. Gino the Camel, the founder, believed that everybody had the right to communicate without the need to worry about the safety of the delivery. Reliability was an obsession for Gino, and thanks to it, Camel Post quickly earned customers and its fame grew rapidly. On the 1st of January of 1860, Gino himself delivered the first international letter transforming Camel Post into an International Mail Service. On the 26th March 1912, Gino left to pursue a spiritual journey. Without its visionary founder and with its historical reliability compromised during the first world war, Camel Post fell in a steep decline. On the 6th of June 1923, exactly 100 years after its foundation, Oasis Express announces the acquisition of Camel Post. Today Camel Post history is kept alive thanks to the numerous collectors that continuously discover and restore the 127 original Camel Post stamps.
