Amazonian Movements - Pv Dias - Palovitu

This collection is a series of images from my research on the movements that take place within the Amazon, my place of origin. These movements can be dances, games, paths, real or fictional stories, created by an Afro-indigenous community. Animations, interventions and drawings are presented to me, in front of photographs and videos I took of the places I visited.

about the artist:

PV Dias is an artist from Pará. His research thinks about the structuring of the images of a territory and possible erasures in this structuring.

In 2021, he opened his first solo exhibition in Rio de Janeiro: Disarmonia, at the Simone Cadinelli gallery. In 2020, he was invited to draw an animated cartoon for the first animation project at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro, Animam, also worked with the New York institute Creative Time.

It is in the collections of the Museum of Art of Rio de Janeiro (MAR), Casa Niemeyer - Universidade de Brasilia and Museu D'água.
