Welcome to the OpenSea digest. Let’s look back through the biggest NFT and web3 news of the week.

Rafaël Rozendaal exhibition at MOMA is now live

Dutch-Brazilian artist Rafaël Rozendaal’s newest exhibition is now at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. “Light” is an immersive exhibition running from November 16 through Spring 2025 on the Hyundai Card Digital Wall. The installation features a selection of Rozendaal’s algorithm-driven animations, each displayed for two to three minutes on a large high-resolution screen. His works, which begin as paper sketches before being translated into compact code, generate real-time animations that seem to become one with the physical world.

In October 2024, OpenSea featured Rozendaal in Spotlight on Hispanic Heritage Month.

Art Blocks is now fully on-chain

On November 27, Art Blocks announced that 90% of projects released across their ecosystem are fully on-chain. Everything needed to create and display these works live directly on Ethereum—from the artist's core script to the supporting libraries. These artworks can be generated forever, independent of Art Blocks or any other platform using any modern web browser, with JavaScript support and access to the blockchain.

Susan Kare announces new collection ‘Esc Keys’

Before emojis, American designer Susan Kare created the pixelated icons and typefaces for the first Apple Macintosh in the 1980s.

In a new art collection titled, “Esc Keys,” Kare is showcasing physical keyboard keys made from precious metals featuring pixel-art designs like a tortoise, an alien face, and a “panic!” button. The keys double as wearable pendants and can be inserted into an actual keyboard for fun.

Digital versions are available as NFTs and Bitcoin ordinals. The collection debuted at Asprey Studio, a London-based contemporary art studio known for its focus on digital art, and will be available online at the Asprey Studio website at the end of November.

Stripe brings crypto services to Aptos

This week, Payment giant Stripe expanded its crypto payment services to the layer-one Aptos blockchain. The expansion follows Circle’s launch of USDC on Aptos and its decision to integrate Aptos into its Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), eliminating the need for a bridged version of the stablecoin.

With Stripe’s tooling, users can convert fiat money into USDC, thereby enabling businesses and individuals to make faster global payments using Aptos. These updates aim to connect Aptos to more decentralized finance (DeFi) apps and improve cross-chain money transfers.

Mythical Games announces mobile NFT game ‘FIFA Rivals’

FIFA Rivals,” a mobile NFT game from web3 studio Mythical Games, will soon let soccer fans collect digital cards tied to FIFA players and events. Launching in the summer of 2025, this free-to-play game will allow players to build their own soccer clubs, compete with real-time matches, and collect professional soccer stars as NFTs on the Mythos blockchain. The game follows the success of Mythical’s “NFL Rivals,” which has reportedly reached over 6 million downloads.

Phantom now supports Base

Leading web3 wallet Phantom has added Base, Coinbase’s layer-two blockchain, to its supported networks. The update makes it easier for Phantom users to manage their digital items across Ethereum-based chains. Base joins Phantom's growing list of supported blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon.
