Doodles introduces Doodlesᵗᵛ
The Doodles characters are at it again: The brand just introduced Doodlesᵗᵛ, a token-gated platform giving holders access to exclusive entertainment.
Part streaming site, part social media platform, Doodlesᵗᵛ will seemingly serve as a one-stop shop to catch the latest music, animation, film and digital art from the Doodles universe. Fans on the platform will have the opportunity to enjoy live chats with artists and on-chain collectibles, with priority access given to holders of original Doodles PFPs, Space Doodles and/or a Super Pass.
Next week, Doodles will team up with Base to launch Season 1 of the Super Pass, unlocking access to the Doodlesᵗᵛ platform. Events kick off with a premiere of the animated “Dullsville and the Doodleverse” film, along with music from Doodles Records and more.
The SEC approves 9 spot Ethereum ETFs
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved nine spot Ethereum (ETH) exchange-traded funds (ETFs), offering traditional investors exposure to ETH and acknowledging the cryptocurrency’s utility.
Today, there are now 11 approved spot bitcoin (BTC) ETFs in addition to the newly approved ETH ETFs.
Abstract unveils new consumer-facing crypto chain
A new initiative by Pudgy Penguins parent company Igloo and various web3-focused venture funds is aiming to establish a blockchain platform for consumer-facing crypto use cases.
Dubbed “Abstract,” the new blockchain is being developed by contributors from notable web3 projects including Pudgy Penguins, Ethereum, privacy-focused wallet company Frame and open-source scaling tool Kubernetes.
In a tweet, the team said it aspires to make Abstract the "single greatest distribution channel—bringing users, liquidity, and community to crypto-native builders and global brands."
Avail DA is now live on mainnet
After raising $75 million in funding, the Polygon-incubated blockchain known as Avail has officially launched. The main network went live on Tuesday, July 23, and the Avail team has already reached an agreement with Ethereum Layer Two (L2) developer StarkWare to service new application chains (appchains).
Avail’s network is designed for data availability (DA), which means it has the capability to cost-effectively store the data produced by blockchain transactions. The project is positioned as what’s called a “unification layer” that connects the various blockchain ecosystems and projects.
SYKY’s spatial-reality app launches on Apple Vision Pro
SYKY, a digital fashion platform led by ex-Ralph Lauren and Burberry executive Alice Delahunt, is releasing a new spatial-reality app on Apple Vision Pro. The debut features an immersive experience where users can interact with creations by the avant-garde Japanese fashion label Anrealage and explore designer spaces from the label’s HOME collection.
Notably, the launch’s exclusive centerpiece is known as “The Pyramid Dress,” a structural, color-changing piece inspired by a bespoke Anrealage gown worn by Beyoncé on her Renaissance tour.
Atari is bringing their classic games to Onchain Summer
Game developer Atari is reviving its classic games for Onchain Summer, in partnership with Coinbase and its L2 blockchain Base.
The first game, Asteroids, just dropped on July 22. Players can now relive their childhoods by competing in the space-themed shooter game, which was first developed in 1979, for a chance to make it to the leaderboard.

The gaming world is all abuzz with the announcement of two new trailers.
The Forgotten Runiverse teaser showcases the game’s magical world filled with wizard factions and epic combat, while Illuvium’s latest trailer shows off the game’s mythical creatures and customized ranger avatars.
