Welcome to the OpenSea digest. Let’s look back through the biggest NFT and web3 news of the week.

Sarah Meyohas debuts ‘Infinite Petals’ on OpenSea

Sarah Meyohas, the deep tech artist behind Bitchcoin, is dropping a new AI-generated NFT collection called “Infinite Petals” on Opensea in partnership with Fellowship on April 15.

Meyohas created Bitchcoin in 2015. Originally launched five months before the Ethereum network, the cryptocurrency was one of the first to be backed by physical art (Meyohas’ photographs) and later by real rose petals from her physical collection, “Cloud of Petals.”

“Infinite Petals” builds on that concept by using an AI model trained on images of 100,000 petals that Meyohas had photographed in 2017. Each NFT is a digitally generated petal based on those real flowers, arranged using visual logic pulled using math and computer science.

Snuffy and 9dcc release spine-inspired Rolex collection

Gmoney’s luxury brand 9dcc and surrealist fine artist Snuffy have teamed up to release ABALLE, a limited-edition timepiece collection inspired by the artist’s upbringing around his father’s surgical practice.

Each piece pairs a vintage Rolex Datejust timepiece with a custom sterling silver bracelet modeled after the human spine. Kettle, a luxury watch authenticator, verifies each watch through full disassembly and provides an NFC-enabled certificate of authenticity linked to a detailed inspection video.

Applications are now open for qualified buyers. The waitlist is first-come, first-served. Inquire on the ABALLE website.

Pixels and Forgotten Runiverse link up on Ronin

Pixels, a farming and social simulation game, and Forgotten Runiverse, a fantasy RPG tied to the Forgotten Runes Wizard’s Cult NFT collection, have formed a new cross-game alliance on the gaming-focused Ronin blockchain.

Players can now use $PIXEL tokens to purchase boosts and Pixels-themed rewards in Runiverse, while landowners in Runiverse can earn a new in-game currency called Quanta when others interact with their land.

Pixels joined Ronin in 2023, while Forgotten Runiverse arrived on the blockchain about eight months later. The collaboration between the two games demonstrates two IPs working together to expand utility and build a more connected, NFT-powered gaming ecosystem.

Doodles introduces DreamNet protocol to support AI-powered storytelling

Doodles has announced DreamNet, a new protocol that lets fans and creators build shared story universes using AI and on-chain tools. It's powered by the $DOOD token, which helps track people’s contributions like character and settings, and is designed to organize fan-made plotlines into a structured system that AI can effectively use.

At the same time, Doodles co-founders Evan Keast and Jordan Castro are teasing a separate initiative called Project 02, which is focusing on their first release called “Degen Fusion.”

Sei Foundation explores buying 23andMe to protect genetic data on chain

The foundation behind the Sei blockchain network announced it's exploring a bid to acquire near-bankrupt genetics company 23andMe. The goal is reportedly to move 23andMe’s full dataset on chain and give its 15 million users control over how their DNA is stored, shared, and monetized.

If the deal goes through, genetic records would live on the Sei blockchain using encrypted transfers and revenue-sharing permissions. Sei is calling it a data sovereignty play with national security implications.

Ape Foundation hires former Yuga Labs exec Cameron Kates as new CEO

The ApeCoin Foundation has named Cameron Kates, former chief business and legal officer at NFT studio Yuga Labs, as its new CEO and executive director.

Kates’ appointment comes on the heels of a months-long period of restructuring. In February 2025, Yuga Labs sold off the Meebits NFT collection and its accompanying intellectual property (IP) in order to better focus on its core brand experiences.

Parallel Avatar 1-of-1 sells for $53K on OpenSea
