THE LONG STORY There is always a time to grow and evolve. We always evolve in the name of art.
But let’s refresh where things come from.
Mindwave Studio is a collective of artists, engineers, coders, and designers, creating a computational algorithmic art project that explores new aesthetic frontiers and possibilities of what art can be, through multimedia and creativity. Most of them have been at the forefront of new media, electronic and robotic art for more than 30 years and they work today as a collective to bring a side of art to blockchain technology that is still unknown to the space.
They are rebels, they are anti-conformists, they reroute in front of expectations, and they believe in the power of aleatory performances driven by machines.
They believe art is an act of unpredictability and innovation. Since the late ’90s, they have worked creating art around the world, contributing to defining the new media art scene of today with net.art, video-art, robotic and electronic art. Blockchain technology is a new medium for them to explore new channels for our creative process made of erratic and conceptual actions.
Art is anarchy. Art is divisive, unique, and unexpected. They break rules to create value and they reorganize those values into new artistic ideas.
A New Experiment Called ‘QUANTUMIZE’ In the quantum realm, where particles exist in states of superposition, embodying multiple possibilities simultaneously until observed, we researched in our work the outcome of quantizing continuous infinite values of energy to a smaller set of discrete finite values that enclose the complexity of the art.
We explored a crossover between digital identity and conceptual reality that brings together two fundamental elements: art and technology. This quantum perspective illuminates the intricate dance between art and technology, where the digital and the conceptual converge in unprecedented ways.
The QUANTUMIZE art program starts with the creation of 7,000 unique pieces of art that mirrors the quantum principle of uniqueness and indeterminacy. Just as no two quantum particles can be in the exact same state, as per the Pauli Exclusion Principle, each artwork maintains a distinct identity, amplified by a digital twin, that exists in a space where art and technology entangle and influence each other.
In the quantum world, entangled particles remain connected so that the state of one, no matter how far apart, instantly influences the state of the other. We are only selecting the best for this part of Mindwave Studio.
The phased approach to the collection drop — beginning with exclusive access for selected community members, followed by an allowlist phase with a set mint price, and culminating in a public sale — parallels the staged observation or measurement in quantum experiments, where each phase reveals more about the system’s state, leading to a fuller understanding of the whole and allowing us to contain the interference of negative energy.
