In February 2022, a group of art collectors created the first pixel DANKBOT, a homage to nounsdao, gremplin, and eBoy arts. The original design was inspired by the loading image on the noundao website. After settling on the bots for a concept collection, the designs were iterated on numerous times, assembled and finalized by the team.
The team used their existing connection in the space to secure collaborations with numerous A list artists-including Mr. Oizo, Kim Asendorf (father of pixel sorting), Jack Butcher (VisualizeValue), Nicolas Sassoon, eBoy Arts, Pixelord, Mr. Boney, Krenskiy, Empress Trash & more to create custom 1/1s for the collection.
The objective of the collection has always been to bridge the gap between the art community and PFP collectors in the web3 space and to introduce PFP collectors to fine art.
