Women face unrealistic expectations on a daily basis. Growing up as a woman, we need to fit in to multiple roles, which are often contradicting themselves. Society expects us to be powerful martyr, while at the same time often to remain subtle and in certain cultures even invisible.

The media impact also often puts out the misleading message. The woman’s role in the society often is limited to her body objectification and a female gaze. The mental health issues and society stigma has a great impact on the women’s mental well being and her identity. This confusion of our role leads to a series of issues, from a miscommunication within the society expectations to political struggles and how they can affect the women rights.

This piece was highly inspired by a poem ‘Be a lady they said’ by Camille Rainville, who describes this issue. Working in a fashion industry and also being often influenced by it, I wanted to show the narrative through an imaginary high gloss fashion magazine, that presents this confusing message. There is an expectation of presenting a certain female model in the media, and yet also diversity is what is what we often expect. While we also portray the diversity, often it is still being met with a backlash of unrealistic beauty standards.

As a society still criticize the women with per-judged conditions, misconceptions and stereotypes. While contradicting those statements and observing this phenomenon, we can move forward and make a gradual change.

The Women's Rights NFT Charity Event collection image

17+ women from across the world to raise money for the vetted charities they personally choose within their communities that work within the realms of women's rights, contraception aid, and needed healthcare services. This is where NFTs will be used to create actionable social good and provide much-needed services to those who need them, now.

Each of our featured artists is choosing a women's rights charity to provide their auctioned funds to. 95%-100% of each auctioned piece will go to the charity and an optional, per artists choice, 5% will go to the artist.

Why women's rights? A large part of our organizations are women and to think that any of us don't get equal rights, access, and healthcare is well..infuriating and terrifying. We have the ability to create change that lasts and start a ripple of social good events that give us, as a community, the autonomy over our own rights.
