Sasha Katz is a 3D artist based in Athens. She explores female sensuality and perfection in the imperfections of the female body. Katz is reinventing beauty standards by celebrating diversity and unconventionality. She portrays a delicate tenderness alongside a physical fragility that becomes a tool to express her endless love for women. Katz's work has been featured in I-D, It's Nice That, Juxtapoz and Vogue Italia, and she has collaborated with Burberry, Laura Strambi, and Gucci. Her creations have been presented worldwide in numerous group exhibitions, such as Decentral Art Pavilion, Venice Biennale(2022); SuperRare Gallery, New York (2022); MOCDA (2022); and Miami ArtBasel, Miami(2021). A few years ago in Thailand Katz had a bike accident and broke her leg and arm. She's not sure why - strong painkillers, rotting protein of non-healing wounds or the unknown plant's evaporation – but she had a vision: there was a squid king on the bottom of the ocean waiting for her. He couldn't come to dry land and was calling her to join him underwater. She was pretty dazed and lost during that period of her life, and the bone fracture was not the reason. She loved the idea of leaving everything behind, staying with the squid king in the underwater kingdom, becoming a siren, and observing the changes of the moon phases through the water. The irony is that she's still here, and the person she loved is waiting for her with a squid king.
