Jazz and life drawing on a February afternoon.
The dimension of the Moment contains fleeting instants imprinted in the mind, captured, like on a Polaroid or as an improvised drawing in a notebook.
It is impossible to define its length. Seconds, hours, days?
Just like life drawing the Moment is not predictable, it simply happens.
A moment has no future and no past, and it is undefinable, except for the emotions that it leaves us with. After that, it is already too late.
Exhibited at BAW 2022, Bolzano Art Weeks
The body has often an expressive power that goes beyond words. It has a language of its own and is able to express personality and boldness, strength and fragility, embarrassment and sensuality.
I have always sought uniqueness in what appears ordinary so that intimate everyday gestures become silent messages, and small fascinating 'imperfections' tell each time a different story.
I have portrayed friends, lovers, and strangers who by showing me their bodies have exposed their souls, entrusting me with their vulnerabilities. Snapshots of precious, unrepeatable moments condensed in the smudges of quick and instinctive sketches, which I collected in a notebook.
